Graduate Certificate

The online Graduate Certificate in Digital Mapping provides a curriculum rich with technical training in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and online mapping. Students take a total of 11 credit-hours of graduate coursework.

To be eligible for the online Graduate Certificate in Digital Mapping, students must possess a four-year bachelor's degree from an accredited U.S. institution or an international credential deemed equivalent to a four-year bachelor's degree. GRE scores are NOT required for admission to the graduate certificate program.

Master of Science

The online Master of Science in Digital Mapping prepares graduates to critically navigate and create in today's information ecosystems as a data scientist, web designer, a geovisual artist, or one of many other fast growing mapping professions. Students take a total of 30 credit-hours of graduate coursework. This consists of 11 credit-hours that comprise the graduate certificate, followed by 12 credit-hours of courses to expand their skills, insights and engagement with mapping. Upon completing the 24 credit-hours, student take two courses for three credits each to prepare and implement their final Master's project under the supervision of faculty members.
